this is our story. where we open our door. a place where we share our small wins, adventures in motherhood, and all those yummy baby rolls. you know, the 'good' stuff. like smiles between loads of laundry, coffee on sundays, and the warmth of being held by the right person.
Happy half birthday!
Olivia is 6 months. Let’s start with the facts…
Olivia weighs 23 lbs.
She is 26 inches long.
She wears 12 month clothing size.
And she’s starting to grow her hair back. Oh yeah, she has a baby tooth, too!
She is still exclusively breastfed, but we started introducing baby food. She has had carrots, green beans, and sweet potatoes. She doesn’t eat a lot at any one sitting, but it’s still really fun to practicing eating.
Olivia still wakes up very happy. We get up around 10:30 a.m. and go to sleep around 10:30 p.m. She still wakes to nurse once throughout the night. During the day, she plays with her toys, and loves to practice walking. She recognizes how to put one foot in front of the other. But that darn balance part!
Olivia smiles, coos, and blows bubbles. Especially, before bed. She will lay in bed with us, sometimes up to an hour, just having a fun old time making cute noises.
Olivia is just a really good baby! I could see how people would want to have more. But, not me. I love that I have my one baby.
She has a baby tooth we can feel and see, and she’s been a little extra fussy the last 1-2 days. She wants to constantly be held, nurse, and have something in her mouth. I love getting to spend all my days with her. I miss her when she sleeps for longer than an hour and half. She can’t stay awake for much longer than 2 hours before she needs to take another nap.
Her and Reggie’s friendship has been coming along. They seem more interested in each other and interact with puppy kisses. She is getting better and better at chasing him in her walker.
This post is a little behind, considering that Olivia will be 7 months- next week.
I think she will start crawling soon. When she’s sitting up, she makes attempts at to reach and move on her two back legs.
